Block Health mela witnesses huge public participation at Gool

Ramban : As a part of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, in Collaboration with District Administration, Ramban, Monday organized a Block Health Mela at Gool.
The Health Mela was held under the aegis of Deputy the Commissioner, RambanMussarat Islam and overall supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Fareed and inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate, GoolGias-Ul-Haq in presence of PRIs and senior Doctors.
TehsildarGool, Rakesh Kumar, Block Medical Officer, Gool, Dr Bashir Ahmed, Nodal officer, AYUSH, Dr. Sanjay Chada, Senior Doctors, officers and prominent citizens and a large number of the general public attended the mela.
The Mela witnessed overwhelming participation of locals who availed the facility of free medical OPD diagnosis, tests and free medicine.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM congratulated the BMO Gool and his team for organising the event for the awareness and benefit of the general public. He said that efforts are on to ensure benefits of health related schemes reach to every household.
The BMO informed that thepublicwere provided with health care facilities which included services of Physician, Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Gynae& Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Eye, ENT Surgeons, Dental Surgeon and the diagnostic services, Testing, etc. More than 2600 persons were screened for different health disorders and provided free medicines by a team of doctors, including those from AYUSH department.
It was informed thata Block Health Mela will also be organized at Banihal on April 27 and the people were urged to take the benefit of health care facilities and other schemes of health sectors.
