Arrangements for Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr reviewed at Budgam

Budgam : The Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Budgam ShabirUl Hassan Monday chaired a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements for Jumat-ul-Vida, ShabQadar and Eid-ul-Fitr in the district.
At the outset, directions were issued for the constitution of joint market checking teams and the concerned were directed to intensify market checking to keep check on profiteering, hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers across the district.
He said that erring vendors, shopkeepers and traders should be booked for violating the rate list.
The ACR directed FCS&CA Budgam to ensure strict implementation of government approved rate lists besides availability of essential supplies in the district.
Similarly, health and traffic/ transport departments were mandated to ensure smooth and hassle-free service in their respective domain areas.
Stressing on the uninterrupted power as per curtailment schedule and water supply across the district, ACR instructed heads of PDD and PHE to deliver as per the required needs.
Emphasizing the need for pre and post sanitation drives, concerned Municipalities were instructed to intensify cleanliness drives in the district with focus on religious places, roads, lanes, drains and regular lifting of wastage from markets.
The meeting was also informed that concerned departments shall ensure availability of poultry birds and fish at all marketplaces.
Besides, the magistrates were asked to remain vigilant and keep close liaison with the police authorities and the Fire Service authorities were directed to remain in a state of preparedness to deal with any eventuality.
The meeting was also attended by SDMs, Ex. Engineer PDD, CAHO, ARTO, BMO Budgam, Tehsildars, AD Fisheries, AD FCS&CA, representatives of R&B, PHE, Legal Metrology, Municipalities and other concerned.
