Gram Swaraj Month: Health Mela held at Block Qaimoo of Kulgam

K’gam : Under ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav’, a Health Mela was Saturday organised in Medical block Qaimoh, Kulgam wherein various services under the ambit of Health department were provided to the common masses.
The services kept available for the general public included Maternal and Child health services, diabetes and hypertension screening, screening of 0 to 18 years population under RBSK, specialist services, Ophthalmic services, immunisation and family planning services, e-Sanjeevani, ABDM, Sehat card (Golden card) generation, AYUSH and other related services.
Scores of people attended the camp to avail the services aimed to cater to people at their doorsteps.
Furthermore, counseling services regarding adolescent health, nutrition, mental health, drug de-addiction were also provided.
Meanwhile, the department of Ayush also installed a stall in block Health Mela in which main focus was given on yoga consultation, immunity boosters, home remedies for common ailments/ medicinal plants.
During the Mela, a live demonstration of yoga was given to the general public. Besides, free Ayush Medicines, immunity boosters and food supplements were distributed among the public.
