Bhaderwah : Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with the Education Department, organised a symposium on AzadikaAmritMahotsav and Environment Conservation at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, here Saturday.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mir Aftab Alam was the chief guest, while Principal of the host school, Bharat Boshan Sharma was guest of honour .
In all, 10 students of the school participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest recalled the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom. He also appealed to the students to keep their surroundings clean and pollution free.
The Guest of honour lauded the Information Department and Education Department for organising the symposium in the school.
Sr. Lecturer, Koushal Kumar, Lecturer, Hemraj and Teacher, SeemaNaz acted as jury members.
First prize was bagged by Rameesa Khan, Shruti Sharma got second prize while TehleemAmeen clinched third position in the symposium.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by ArifRana (Teacher).
DIET Udhampur organises training prog on Vidhya Parvesh under “NIPUN BHARAT” Mission
Udhampur : The second Phase of training on “VIDHYA PARVESH” under Nipun Bharat Mission concluded in three Zones of Udhampur, Tikri& Jib here Saturday.
The Training programme was organized under the overall supervision of Gulzar Begum Principal DIET Kud (Udhampur).
Around 180 HOIs of PS/MS participated in the training. The training was imparted to teachers on emerging times with associated challenges & opportunities and in order to stream line the quality Education at Elementary Level. The core focus of the training programe was to make the students skillful, creative and mindful.
In her address at Government High School Udhampur, the Principal DIET asked the trainees to facilitate exchange of information and expertise among the teaching fraternity and to motivate learning. She also inspired the teachers to be facilitators in learning.
During the training programme, the resource person laid stress on school readiness for newly admitted students via fun based activities and ways of modifying young minds and to create joyful and friendly environment in the classrooms.
In Zone Udhampur, programme incharge was RenukaNagpal HOD DIET & Co-ordinator was Shiv Kumar, Senior Lecturer, while in Zone Jib Ranjana Rani HOD was Programme I/C & Rajesh Sharma, Senior Lecturer was the Co-ordinator. Kiran Devi HOD acted Programme Incharge at Tikri and Ashok Kumar, Senior Lecturer as Co-ordinator of the programme.
Ramban: DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons leave for Samba to attend National PRI Day
Ramban : District Administration Ramban Saturday flagged off DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons for participating in the National PRI Conference at Palli, Samba on the occasion of National PRI Day.
Deputy Commissioner, Mussrat Islam, SSP, Mohita Sharma, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma and ACP RambanSwarn Singh besides other senior officers were present on the occasion.
A large number of PRIs from across Ramban District are scheduled to leave for Palli tomorrow for attending the rally to be addressed by the Prime Minister to mark the National PRI Day.
Block Health Mela: Varied healthcare services provided to locals at Trauma Hospital Khellani
Doda : To sensitize people about the importance of health and wellbeing and to bring varied health facilities at the door steps of the public, a Block Health cum Awareness Mela was organised Saturday at Trauma Hospital Khellani of Medical Block Assar.
The event wasorganised under the aegis of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsov’ with Chairman BDC Khellani Munish Kumar was the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest inaugurated the health mela in presence of Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr M Y Mir, SDM Assar Rishi Kumar, Tehsildar Assar Fareed Ahmed, BMO Assar Dr Tanveer Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Department Tariq Ahmed, Medical Superintendent, AH GMC Doda Dr Yudhvir Singh and SarpanchKhellani Bashir Ahmed Narwani.
The Mela witnessed overwhelming participation of locals who availed the facility of free medical OPD diagnosis, tests and free medicine.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMO said that the aim of holding the health melas was to educate people about various government health schemes and provide them with the best healthcare facilities at their doorsteps. He said that the efforts are on to ensure benefits of health related schemes reach to every household.
He said through Ayushman Bharat scheme every common citizen has been empowered to avail best healthcare facilities not only in government hospitals but also in private hospitals free of cost.
The CMO Doda appealed to people to register for Golden cards, avail service of Jan Aushadhi and other health schemes for their better health care and safety.
The CMO Doda informed that these health Melas are being organized in each medical block of the district to boost the healthcare system and enlighten people about government schemes for their health and treatment.
Senior doctors, paramedics and technicians conducted health checkups of hundreds of patients. The specialist services for ophthalmology, pediatrics, dermatology, general medicine, general surgery and dental check-up were provided to the people.
Meanwhile, school children, ASHAs etc presented different skits on health awareness besides a demo on yoga was also held on this occasion by AYUSH Department.
