Hundreds of people get consultation, treatment

Block Health Mela held at Kalaroose

Kupwara : Block Health Mela was Saturday organized at Thayan in Kalaroose block of Kupwara district under the supervision of Block Medical Officer, Mohammad Ramzan.
BDC Chairperson Kalaroose, Principal GHSS Kalaroose and other block-level officers, besides, students and people in large numbers attended the day-long Health mela.
On the occasion, different speakers including BMO, Principal GHSS, Doctors and experts provided thorough awareness to the participants on adherence to good health practices in their daily lives.
Awareness was raised among the masses regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Training was also provided by skilled Yoga professionals to students and people regardingdifferent Yoga techniques.
The organizers had erected stalls which included general medicine, gynae, mental health, Covid vaccination, Ayush, Yoga, General health awareness, AB-PMJAY registration, child specialists, besides, others. Various medicinal and herbal plants were kept on display and interactive sessions were held where uses of commonly available plants and herbs were discussed.
Meanwhile, hundreds of patients who got consultation and treatment in the day-long health mela expressed their gratitude towards the administration for conducting the health mela.
