Arrangements for Shab-E-Qadr, Jumat-Ul-Vida & Eid-Ul-Fitr reviewed at Anantnag

Anantnag : In view of the ensuing holy occasions of Shab-E-Qadr, Jumat-Ul-Vida and Eid-Ul-Fitr, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh Saturday convened a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of the arrangements put in place for smooth celebrations.
The ADC directed the meeting that adequate stock of essential commodities may be kept available in the district, besides ensuring supply of potable drinking water and proper sanitation in and around areas of the congregation. Municipal Committees were directed to give festive look to the Eidgahs and Mosques on the occasions.
He asked the departments of Food Safety, FCS&CA Municipal Committee and Legal Metrology to intensify the market checking in the Town and all other markets and take legal action against overcharging and profiteering.
ARTO was directed to ensure availability of public transport to facilitate hassle free movement of the public to Dargahs and places of congregation viz. Khiram, Kabamarg, Aishmuqam, Seer, etc.
The ADC directed the Health Department to ensure health care facilities at major congregational places. Similarly, the Animal Husbandry department was asked to arrange the sale of chicken at various places in the district.
The meeting was attended by officials from Health, FCS&CA, Animal Husbandry, Food Safety, Legal metrology, Police, Municipal Committees, and other concerned departments.
