Udhampur admin all set to start ‘Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari’ campaign

Eligible Farmers invited to take benefit of Kisan Credit Card Scheme

Udhampur : District Administration Udhampur has cleared the decks for starting ambitious ‘Kisan Bhagidari PrathmiktaHamari’ campaign from April 24, 2022 being launched by Government of India and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to provide the benefits of KCC and other schemes of the Central Government to the farmers who couldn’t avail the benefits of agriculture and animal husbandry KCC.
District Development Commissioner InduKanwalChib informed that during this campaign farmers would felicitated in getting KCC through bank BC and bank branches. “For effective implementation of the campaign, all the banks and allied institutions have been directed to issue necessary guidelines” she said.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with banks and government organizations has made an effort to issue KCCs to all Pradhan MantriKisanSammanNidhi beneficiaries in a mission mode during the campaign being conducted from April 24, 2022 to May 1, 2022.
The target of the campaign is to connect maximum beneficiaries of Pradhan MantriKisanSammanNidhi with Kisan Credit Card in 7 days.
In Udhampur, about 0.65 lakh farmers are eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan MantriKisanSammanNidhi and so far about 0.51 lakh Kisan Credit Cards have been issued in the district.
“Any beneficiary of the Pradhan MantriKisanSammanNidhiYojana without KCC can get the same by contacting the particular Gram Sabha or his bank branch on 24 April 2022 or within 07 days” said the DDC.
The DDC said that the farmers, who don’t have Kisan Credit, should also contact the bank branch of their area with the Jamabandi report and crop details for the new Kisan Credit Card limit. Similarly, the Farmers who have Kisan Credit Card limit can also contact the bank branch for animal husbandry and fisheries KCC. “Through Kisan Credit Card, farmers are provided agricultural loan by banks at affordable rates” she informed. Instructions have also been given to all the banks to meet the targets set under this campaign and motivate all the beneficiaries of Prime Minister KisanSammanNidhi to avail the facility Kisan Credit Card. For this, representatives of all the banks in the district were directed during the meeting, that there should be no delay in issuing KCC to maximum farmers. Efforts should be made to convey the information of this scheme to all the farmers of the district through monthly meeting of SHGs and office bearers of KisanUtpadakSangathan, along with organizing financial literacy camps.
The campaign for the scheme will be started on 24 April 2022 by organizing a special Gram Sabha in Udhampur district, in this Gram Sabha, farmers who do not have KCC yet, will be supported by banks by providing KCC cards. If they have normal KCC on agricultural land and their limit is less than Rs.3.00 lakh, then assistance will be given to them for animal husbandry and fisheries-KCC on the basis of the animals kept by them. Apart from this, they will also be linked to social security schemes like PMSBY, PMJJY, and Atal Pension Yojana etc.
In this campaign all types of KCCs will be provided like -Agriculture, Dairy-Animal Husbandry and Fisheries KCC.
District Development Commissioner, InduKanwalChib has called upon all the farmers to get KCC card made by contacting their village secretary, sarpanch, nearest bank branch under this campaign and also get registered in security plans as well.
On this occasion, the District Development Commissioner informed that a simple form has also been issued for the application of the Kisan Credit Card under this campaign, which is available on the websites of all the banks www.agricoop.gov.in and www.pmkisan.gov.in.
Instructions were also given to the concerned departments of the district to reach the information of this scheme to the farmers through self-help groups and gram panchayats.
To make this effort successful, the Government of India, the State Government, NABARD and the lead district managers were sent to the farmers and banks.
The Revenue Department has also been directed by the district administration to make the records of their land easily available to the farmers for the application of Kisan Credit Card.
For this the loan process has been simplified. The special thing is that if the farmers repay the loan on time, they will be able to get loan up to Rs 3 lakh at only four percent interest (including interest subsidy). The District Development Commissioner also informed that a special Gram Sabha would be organized in the district on April 24, 2022 with the help of banks and district administration. “Farmers Participation Our Priority” campaign will be started by addressing the farmers and public representatives present in the Gram Sabha by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
