Rajouri : In an endeavour to reach out to the public, Lead Bank Manager J&K Bank Friday conducted a financial literacy camp at Block Khawas in Rajouri to educate the residents of the areas regarding basic financial and banking services and products offered by the bank.
The camp was organised on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal.
TehsildarKhawas, Mohammad Rafiq; Lead Bank Manager JK Bank Rajouri, Jyoti Prakash Sharma, BDO Khawas, Bank Manager, Ashwani Sharma, Sapanchs, Panchs and the general public attended the camp.
Ashwani Sharma from Lead Bank Office informed the audience about the benefits of social security schemes such as Pradhan MantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan MantriSurakshaBimaYojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and urged them to register themselves in the nearest branch.
The participants were also educated about the importance of Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile Seeding with their respective saving bank accounts for availing benefits of various government schemes/subsidies wherever applicable.
Besides educating the gathering about the benefits of digital banking and cashless economy, the team also talked at length about various lending schemes offered by the bank for the general public such as Kissan Credit Card, Tractor Loan, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Car loan, Education loan etc. wherein rates of interest charged by the bank are very competitive and also available on easy EMIs.
LDM informed about various banking and financial schemes with a particular emphasis on KCC and urged them to enroll themselves for KCC and other Social security Schemes launched by the central government for the benefit and wellbeing of those working in the unorganized sectors.
In the end, LDM also expressed his gratitude to the audience for their valuable participation.
National Apprenticeship Mela organised at ITI Poonch
Poonch : Indian Training Institute (ITI) Poonch Friday organized National Apprenticeship Mela, here at government ITI Poonch.
Similar Mela was organised at Government ITI Mendhar and Surankote.
Hundreds of unemployed youth and more than thirty establishments/ local industries participated and got registered on the Apprenticeship Portal across the District.
The Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India launched the event at 10:00 am across the country through video conferencing.
Later, the Director Skill Development J&K also interacted with the participants through video conferencing.
The Superintendent ITI Poonch, ErTalatMehmood Khan, Balram Sharma -Sr. Faculty, Staff Members, trainees of the institution and members from the District Industry Centre Poonch were also present.
Registration will continue from Friday onwards at Government I.T.I Poonch/Mendhar/Surankote.
Interested candidates can approach the registration centres on all working days to benefit from the National Apprenticeship Scheme.
DC Rajouri inaugurates Rural Haat at Muradhpur
Rajouri : With the objective to provide marketing facilities to local Artisans, SHGs, Small Scale Entrepreneurs to sell their product, Deputy Commissioner RajouriVikasKundal Friday inaugurated Village Haat at Muradpur alongside NH 144 A.
Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, PawanParihar; ACD, Vijay Verma, BDO Rajouri, ChanderkantBhagat, Sarpanch concerned, an officer from NLM and other departments were present during the event.
Speaking at the inaugural event, the DC said that the Rural Haat has been established particularly for those who have no individual and separate marketing facilities for selling their products.
He said the main objective of the rural haat was to provide a marketing platform to farmers, small scale entrepreneurs and SHG members to sell their agri-horti, handloom, handicrafts and livestock produce at one place, and this will further play a crucial towards ameliorating their socio-economic conditions.
The Deputy Commissioner also shared details of various development initiatives and programs taken up in the district like training of SHGs, and artisans etc. Later, the DC also inspected the site of the Goberdhan project.
