People avail specialist healthcare services

Ramban : The Department of Health and Family Welfare, in Collaboration with District Administration, Ramban Thursday organized a Block Health Mela at Batote under AzadiKaAmritMahotsav.
The Mela was inaugurated by the Chairperson, Block Development Council, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar.
The Health Mela was held under the aegis of Deputy the Commissioner, RambanMussarat Islam and overall supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Fareed. It was informed that the Block Health Melas will also be organized at Gool on April 25 and Banihal on April 27.
Sub-Judge, Batote, Ramesh Lal, BMO, Batote, Dr Rajnesh Kumar, DIO, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Nodal officer, AYUSH, Dr. Sanjay Chada, Senior Doctors, officers and prominent citizens and a large number of the general public attended the mela.
The District Administration urged the people to take part in Health Melas as per schedule to take benefit of health care facilities and other schemes of health sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the BDC Chairperson lauded the efforts of the District Administration especially to the team of Block Medical Officer Batotefor organizing this great event.
On the occasion, the people were provided health care facilities which included services of Physician, Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Gynae& Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Eye, ENT Surgeons, Dental Surgeon and the diagnostic services , Testing, etc. More than 1200 persons were examined and provided free medicines by teams of doctors including those from AYU
People appreciated the initiative of the Health Department which helped the needy people in their treatment besides conducting on spot registration for PM JAY SEHAT and other beneficiary oriented schemes.
Meanwhile, the Tehsil Legal Services Authority team led by Sub-Judge, Batote, and Ramesh Lal also educate the public on Child Marriage Act.
