Ramban : Drug and Food Control Organization, Ramban Thursday carried out an extensive inspection in Sangaldan area of Subdivision Gool.
The inspection team inspected medical shops in different villages including Magalkote, BadaKund, Sunda, Mangalogi, KanthiMorh, Tetharka ,Dalwas and Sangaldan market.
During the inspection, Drug Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmed found unregistered medical stores being operated at Magalkote Khan Mohalla and sealed 3 medical stores on the spot.
The inspection team also inspected registered medical stores located in Sangaldan and its adjoining areas.
The Drug inspector informed that on perusal of the purchase records it was observed that medicines were being procured through regulated channels. To ensure quality, safe and efficacious medicines for end users, 4 drug samples were also lifted by the team.
During the exercise, special emphasis was laid on to trace the people indulging in trade of Narcotic & Psychotropic drugs, he added.
The Drug and Food Control Organization team requested the people to keep an eye on such persons/Medical Stores who they suspect to be drug peddlers.
