B’pora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Thursday visited Odina village of Sumbal Sub Divisionto inspect the ongoing works on the Transit Accommodation Campsbesides taking stock of various other ongoing development works in the area.
Officers at Transit Accommodation informed the Deputy Commissioner that transit accommodation is coming up at the cost of Rs 57.60 crores comprising 480 flats in 30 blocks. They said each block is four-storied with four flats in each storey thus totalling up to 16 flats in one block. The structure is RCC framed structure with arrangement for lift provided. Brickwork is provided for external and internal walls with wooden frames and shutters. Steel roof truss isprovided with colour coated CGI sheets, officers informed.
Dr Owais took detailed stock at the site Odina and directed the officers to expedite the work so as to meet the deadlines. He stressed on maintaining the quality of work all along the project.
He directed the PDD officers to ensure uninterrupted electricity at work site so that they can work in night shifts
He also inspected various developmental works undertaken by the departments in the district. He directed to lay special emphasis on the works that are properly reflected in the already prepared annual plans.
The DC was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Sumbal Dr Bashir Ahmad, TehsildarSumbal, Executive Engineer PDD and PHE besides other senior officers of the district
