Poonch: A Painting competition on the heritage theme was organised by Model Higher Secondary School SawjianPoonch as per the cultural activities calendar issued by Directorate of School Education Jammu.
More than 63 students of classes 9 to Class 12 participated and displayed their artistic skills on the canvas. They created paintings of different Heritage sites of the country including TajMahal, Red Fort, Lotus Temple New Delhi, India Gate, Parliament House and President House etc.
The competition was monitored by the School Principal Anwar Khan, school Nodal Officer for cultural activities Saleem Rishi and Mohammad Arif Malik and other lecturers.
10 best paintings were duly awarded by the school administration.
Speaking on this occasion, the Principal said that the competition was organised to bring out the hidden talent of students and provide them an opportunity to express their artistic skills.
