Kupwara: The weekly Block Diwas programme was Wednesday held at Environment Hall Handwara and was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir.
DDC Member Rajwar, Suliman Mir, Officers from civil administration and PRIs attended the day long block diwas programme.
The ADC in his address said that the aim of holding weekly block diwas is to hear the people at their door steps and address their developmental issues and grievances and to provide them awareness about different welfare schemes of the Government.
DDC Member also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, PRIs and senior citizens projected various developmental issues of the area before the chair.
Officers from Administration also spoke and replied to the queries raised by the PRIs and the people. They also gave awareness regarding developmental schemes of their respective departments.
