GDC Udhampur, NCC 2nd J&K Battalion remember Martyrs

Udhampur : Two J&K Battalion National Cadet Corps NCC, Jammu and Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur Tuesday organized an event under AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav to remember the supreme sacrifices of martyrs of the District, herein the College Conference Hall.
Major Kamal Kishore (ANO) coordinated the event with the NCC Unit J&K.
Around 33 families of Martyrs were enlisted and invited to join the program out of which 18 families attended the event. The program began with the offering the floral tributes to martyrs by the dignitaries followed by the presentation of ‘SamritiChinh’ to the families.
Prof.SeemaKotwal, who attended the program as special guest, spoke at length about the brave heroes and saluted their families too for their courage.
Prof.BabuLal Thakur, Prof.Romesh Kumar Atri, among othersjoined the program to express their gratitude to those who have laid down their lives for their nation. Dr PallaviBhagat conducted the proceedings of the event.
The event was conducted under theguidance of the College Principal Prof.SubhashChander Sharma.
Prof.Romesh Kumar Atri, Department of Botany presented the vote of thanks.
All Ranks of 2 J&K Bn. NCC Jammu were also graced the occasion.
