Varied services provided at Ukhral block Health Mela, People hail Govt initiative

Ramban :Department of Health and Family Welfare, in Collaboration with District Administration, Ramban Monday organized a Block Health Mela at Ukhral which was formally inaugurated by the Chairperson, Block Development Council, Karleep Singh.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ramsoo, VikarGari, Dy. CMO, Dr Iqbal Bhat, BMO, Ukhral, Dr Mohammad Iqbal Malik, TehsildarUkhral, Nisar Ahmed, TehsildarRamsoo, Imran Naik, Nodal Officer, AYUSH Sanjay Chada, Senior Doctors, officers and prominent citizens and a large number of the general public attended the mela.
Speaking on the occasion, the BDC Chairperson lauded the efforts of the District Administration especially the team of Health Department for reaching out to people in far flung areas with varied health services and health schemes.
The Dy. CMO informed that the public of village Ukhral and adjoining areas are provided with health care facilities which included services of Physician, Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Gynae& Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Eye, ENT Surgeons, Dental Surgeon and the diagnostic services , Testing, etc.
More Than 2700 persons were screened for different health problems and provided free medicines.
People appreciated the initiative of the Health Department for reaching out to the needy people.
The Block Health Melas will also be organized at Batote on April 21, Gool on April 25 and Banihal on April 27.
The District Administration urged the people to take part in Health Melas as per schedule to take benefit of health care facilities and other schemes of health sectors.
