Block Health Mela organised at Nowshera

Rajouri : The Department of Health and Family Welfare Rajouri Monday organised a block Health Mela here at Nowshera.
The event was organised as part of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav and under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner, VikasKundal and Chief Medical Officer, Dr ShamimUnNissa Bhatti. Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal was the chief.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is organizing ‘Block-Level Health Melas’ as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to provide varied health services and educate people about Health Schemes, communicable and non-commutable diseases, besides hazards of drugs and other addictions.
During the program varied health services including general health checkup, free medicines, sputum tests, leprosy test, eye check-up, ENT checkup, registration of beneficiaries under SEHAT etc were provided to the general public.
Speaking at the event, the ADC mainaim of the program was to offer a bouquet of health services free of cost and enhance awareness about different schemes/programmes of the Government.
