Iconic Week celebration: Various activities held across District Doda

Doda : As a part of ongoing ‘AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav’ celebrating 75 years of Independence and celebration of Iconic Week, various activities were held across the Panchayats of the district Doda to spread awareness and strengthen participation of local people in the spirit of Jan-Bhagidari.
A number of Gram sabhas were held wherein many theme based resolutions were adopted for saturation of 100 point programme and for adoption of atleast one of the SDGs in every Panchayat .
The Iconic Week celebrations are being held across the district andactivities like holding of Gram Sabhas, Swachta drives, cleaning of Water bodies, plantation drives are being held in the district.
During these activities panchayats witnessed a large participation of the locals.
As a part of the Iconic week celebration and to take governance at the door steps of public and to get first hand appraisal of grievances, issues and demands of people ACD DODA Saturday visited Bhagwah block of the district and held a grievance redressal camp. While addressing the gathering, ACD Doda Phulailsingh said that listening to the public issues and grievances for their timely redressal is priority of administration.
He added that involving people is imperative for proper implementation of various schemes of department of rural development.
Among the various activities held under AKAM, plantation drives were carried out in the blocks Bhalla, and Bhaderwah of the district. Also, cleanliness drives under the SDGs theme of “Clean/Green Village” were carried out in various pnachayas ofblocks Bhaderwah, Khellani and others blocks.
