Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Saturday conducted an extensive tour of far-flung areas of the district Chikribann to assess public issues and taking stock of development works in these unreachable parts.
While projecting demands people raised various issues like Black topping and completion of Plera to Chikribann Road, construction of left out portion of road from Chikhri Bann to Naganari& Bann, completion of health centre in Chikhri Bann, completion of PanchayatGhar Chikhri Bann.
They also demanded for upgradation of each middle school Chikhri and Bann, adequate staff in Health and educational institutions, Ration depot for Chikribann, functional newly constructed water tank, and also repairment of Chikri Bann water pipelines, provide electric poles and supply of electricity in unelectrified area like Chikri, Naganari and Bann and various other development related issues were raised.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected on the occasion and passed a slew of directions for the immediate redressal of genuine public concerns.
He also asked the AEE Jal Shakti Department to make the newly constructed water tanks in Chikhribann functional and ensure water supply to the locals at an earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the health sub centre Chikri and assured to complete the work on the subcentre at the earliest. He along with PWD and PMGSY department officers also visited uptoChikhri Bann Gali to assessthefeasibility of road construction in the light of Chikhri to Bann road project.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner visited SDH Mandi and inspected OT, checked their status and enquired about surgeries performed in the surgical section.
He also directed the ZEO concerned to fulfil the shortage of staff in the educational institutions for which the concerned officer assured to take appropriate measures.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by BDC Chairperson, ShamimGnai, TehsildarMandi, ShazadLatief Khan, CMO, Dr. G.A Malik, I/C S.H.O Mandi, AEE, PHE, PMGSY, PWD, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, TSO Mandi besides other concerned officers were present
