Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: FCS&CA Samba organizes awareness camp at Patyari

Samba : The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Samba Saturday celebrated Anna Yojana& Public Distribution System as a part of “AzadiKaAmritMahotsav” (75 years of independence) in PanchayatPatyari, Tehsil.
The primary theme of the event was to spread awareness among the beneficiaries about various ongoing foodgrains schemes of the department like Pradhan MantriGaribKalyan Anna Yojana, NFSA/Non-NFSA, and ONORC etc.
The officials of the department also highlighted the achievements of the department like 100% Aadhaar Seeding of beneficiaries, installation of Point of Sales devices at Fair Price Shops, Ration distribution through biometric authentication, roll out of One Nation One Ration Card scheme etc. The beneficiaries who benefitted from the schemes also shared their experiences at the event.
Balwan Singh, Vice Chairman DDC Samba, Baldev Singh, Sarpanch, BDC Sumb, concerned PRI Members, Sandeep Singh Jamwal, Tehsil Supply Officer, Samba, Fair Price Shop Dealers and beneficiaries/rationees of the area were present on the occasion.
During the event, the public representatives also lauded the efforts of the department and FPS dealers for the un-interrupted services provided in the lockdown period.
