Vice-Chairman DDC Kupwara visits various areas of Lolab, inspects ongoing works

Kupwara : The Vice-Chairman District Development Council (VC-DDC), Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir Friday visited various areas of Wavoora DDC constituency and took stock of different ongoing developmental works.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman visited different areas of Wavoora block including PashdenGagal, Oderpatti, Bay Gagal, Katyawadi, BajardMohallahGagal, Andernaad, main chowkWavoora and Surigam.
The Vice Chairman along with officers inspected various ongoing developmental works in these areas which include construction of filtration plant/ reservoir of PaddenGagal, PHE scheme Kuligam and DingapatiGagal, CRF road Gagal and Numberdarmohallah road.
He directed the officers to gear up the pace of the works and ensure timely completion of the projects.
He also directed concerned engineers for framing of DPR for construction of Gagal to Oderpati irrigation khul to cover the agricultural land of the area.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman met various public delegations who registered their day to day developmental issues. He assured them for redressal of their genuine issues.
Referring to Irrigation facilities, VC said that he is pursuing construction of Shartmoqam-Maidanpora and Warnow-Afan Irrigation Khuls which will benefit thousands of farmers in irrigating their agriculture fields.
He directed I&FC engineers for immediate desilting and repair of all irrigation khuls of the Lolab so that the farmers do not face any interruption in irrigation during this farming season.
Referring to road connectivity, the Vice-Chairman assured the people that the Wavoora-Rang Warnow road which connects the vast population of the Wavoora constituency shall be completed by August this year, besides, inner roads connecting different villages shall also be completed.
Ex. Engineer PHE, AEE I&FC, JE PWD along with works supervisors, engineers of PDD and other concerned accompanied the Vice-Chairman.
