It is a pleasure to have a good and successful friend who is always striving for happiness and peace of mind. I am feeling proud to write about My Chum – Firdous Ahmad Tantray and for his success. He is a teacher by profession who has been performing his duties at BHSS Sanzipora for the last 5 years. He is also a good cricketer who has been playing in Chinar Cricket Club Batagund for the last two decades. Ever since school days, he has been creative and has a creative temperament. He often used his brain to make improvised products.
Six years ago my friend suddenly decided to make a high density garden in the land where they used to cultivate rice. Most of the villagers criticized his move but my dear stood firm on his decision like a rock. Small plants were planted in it. He left no stone unturned in making it. He is the first person in our area to plant it. The news soon spread to the adjoining villages. People come from far and wide to get grafting sticks for free. Through this he is playing a welfare role which is benefiting the society.
Even knowing this, people are busy building castles in the air. Apple production is an important part of our local economy. How to increase its quality and production my friend started it in his garden by planting high density plants and it became a living example. The horticulture department has been helping him from the beginning and they are trying their best to train him to become a successful orchardist. My friend is on a track that makes his future successful. Work is underway to expand the whole nine yard of his garden these days to produce more high quality fruits. What is special about him is how he took care of time management and never failed and today his life is up to standard. He is the apple of our eyes.
