Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: FCS&CA Deptt conducts awareness prog on PMGKAY at Sub Division Paddar

Kishtwar : The Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs on the instruction of Districts Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma and under overall supervision of Assistant Director, FCS&CA Rahul Sharma Friday organised an awareness programme regarding extension of PMGKAY scheme under the aegis of “AzadikaAmritMahotsav” at Sub Division Paddar.
SarpanchPanchayatHalqaGulabgarh, ManoharLal was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme was also attended by TSO PaddarBalwant Singh, PRIs including SiriLalSarpanchHalqaMassu, Rajinder Singh SarpanchpanchayatHalqaSohal besides locals of the area.
At the outset, TSO Paddar gave a brief introduction about the various ongoing schemes of the department.
He apprised the gathering about the achievements of the department in Aadhar Seeding, deletion/correction of Duplication in UIDs (first district to achieve this target in J&K), implementation of Supply Chain Management and 100% ePOS distribution of Ration.
Speaking on the occasion, the SarpanchGulabgarh lauded the efforts of the department of FCS&CA in bringing transparency and accountability in the public distribution system. He said that the Government has extended the benefits under PMGKAY up to September 2022 for eligible beneficiaries and urged the concerned officials to ensure timely distribution of ration under the said scheme in addition to NFSA.
