Srinagar : The cleanliness drive of Dal Lake continued on the seventh day Friday under the ATHWAAS initiative of the government.
Friday, the drive was started by Irfan Ali Shah, Conservator of Forests by removing the weed from the Lake.
Besides, 25 girl students from Women’s College Srinagar also participated in the said drive.
The Conservator of Forests congratulated LCMA for initiating this programme. He said that Dal Lake is getting cleaner and appreciated the efforts taken by LCMA.
He said saving water and conservation of water bodies is our utmost priority and this is the duty of each and every person to get involved and help in maintaining the glory of the lake.
