2 drug peddlers booked under PIT NDPS Act in Budgam: Police

Budgam : Police on Friday said that it has booked two notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act in Budgam.
In a statement issued on Friday two drug peddlers namely Khalid HussainSofi son of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi resident of Iqbalabad Charar-e-Sharief and Amir Ahmed Ganie son of Khazir Mohammad Ganie resident of Pujj-MohallaChadoora were arrested for their involvement in drug peddling, stating therein further that both the drug peddlers have been detained under PIT NDPS Act through orders issued by the competent authority.
In the concluding para of its statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law, stating therein further that consistent actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
