Kishtwar: A first of its kind ladies Gym & Fitness Club was Thursday inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma in presence of Senior Superintendent of Police, SSP KishtwarShafqatHussain Bhat and SHO Kishtwar Abid Bukhari here at Char Chinar, KuleedChowk.
About 100 house wives, girls besides media persons also graced the occasion.
The ladies Gym & Fitness Club fitted with modern equipment has been set up by Manisha Manu, an author and first female journalist of district Kishtwar under start up India scheme.
Manisha Manu established this facility owing to the high demand of ladies, house wives and the young girls who were not comfortable to join the fitness centres designated for men.
The DC and SSP Kishtwar congratulated and lauded Manisha’s novel initiative in field of women empowerment self-reliance.
