Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Wednesday visited the far off area of Marmat wherein the DDC presided over the Block Diwas program and ongoing awareness of 100 points under Gram Swaraj Month.
He listened to the issue pertaining to the area, besides issuing on spot directions to the concerned departments for time bound redressal of public grievances.
The local representatives and general public raised various issues pertaining to their respective area and demanded augmentation of old water supply schemes, up-gradation of educational institutions, meeting shortage of health and teaching staff, detachment of teaching and health staff, payment of pending land compensation and MGNREGA material liability, starting of the X-Ray facility in Goha, bank ATM facility at Goha, construction of the Girls hostel and Degree College, removal of encroachments, extension of national highway up-to Dranga, job opportunities for the local youth in the ongoing project, improvement of link roads, completion of pending projects, besides other important public issues were also discussed during the program for which the DDC paid patient hearing and assured timely disposal by the concerned departments.
Responding to the patient care facilities, the DDC directed the CMO to send the ambulance sanctioned for the area from Doda to Goha headquarter within one week, besides, he directed BMO to ensure installation of the X-Ray machine at Goha headquarter.
With regard to the shortage of teaching staff in schools, the DDC informed the locals that a district level Committee headed by ADDC Doda with Joint Director and CEO as its members have been constituted to ensure the rationalisation of the staff in educational institutions.
While responding to the issue of erratic distribution of ration, the DDC directed the Tehsildar to enquire into the matter and submit the report so that strict action was endorsed against the individual/official. Besides, he asked the Tehsildar to start the anti-encroachments drive across the tehsil, especially from the road sides.
Expressing concern over erratic water supply, the DDC directed the Tehsildar and Ex En to resolve the issue in a week’s time. He further asked them to display all the JJM DPRs of this area at prominent places for the awareness of the general public. In addition to this, he also asked the PMGSY to display the projects proposed for phase 3rd for the information of the locals.
While responding to the demand of ATM facility, the DDC assured that the matter will be taken up with the bank authorities. He informed them that land for the Degree College has already been identified and matters shall be followed with the administrative department for the timely sanction of the funds.
He further assured the locals that the issue of local employment will be taken up with the NHIDCL. DDC asked the locals to take the benefits from different self-employment schemes and directed the AD Employment to organize an awareness camp on self-employment schemes in the area on coming Saturday.
The DDC also directed the Tehsildar to give wide publicity to the online land record Information System (AZAN) by way of organising awareness camps.
The DDC directed the TehsildarMarmat to note down all the issues raised in the program and get the action taken report from all the concerned departments.
Meanwhile, the Progressive farmers of Marmat area were also felicitatedby the District Development Commissioner.
Similar meetings, under Gram Swaraj Month and Block Divas, were organised at SewaChiralla, Panchayat Sino, PanchayatBulandpur and AtkharBhaderwah.
Besides various certificates, revenue and other documents were issued to the public. A total 101 applications were recorded from all the venues of Block Diwas and 91 were addressed on the spot by concerned officers of different departments.
Among others present during the program are DDC member Marmat, BDC Chairperson Marmat, DSWO DODA, AD Employment Doda, CAO Doda, ALC Doda, CEO Doda, Ex. Ens, local PRIs and other District and sectoral Officers and officials.
