Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: FCS&CA Deptt conducts awareness prog on PMGKAY scheme at Block Khelani

Doda : The department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Doda on Wednesday organised an awareness programme regarding extension of PMGKAY scheme under the aegis of AazadikaAmritMahaotsav at Block Khelani.
DDC Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh was the chief guest, while BDC Chairman Khelani, Manish Kumar, SarpanchKhelani, and Bashir Ahmed were the guests of honour on the occasion.
The programme was also attended by PRIs of the area along with Principal HSS Khelani, beneficiaries and officials of the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman lauded the efforts of the department of FCS&CA in bringing transparency and accountability in the public distribution system. He also appreciated the contribution of officials of FCS&CA Doda in achieving the targets well in time despite shortage of manpower in the department.
The DDC Chairman said that the Government has extended the benefits under PMGKAY up to September 2022 for eligible beneficiaries and asked the concerned officials to ensure timely distribution of ration under the said scheme in addition to NFSA.
Earlier, the Assistant Director FCS&CA Doda, Rahul Sharma gave a brief introduction about the various ongoing schemes of the department. He apprised the gathering about the achievements of the department like 100% Aadhar Seeding, 100% deletion/correction of Duplication in UIDs (first district to achieve this target in J&K), implementation of Supply Chain Management and 100% ePOS distribution of Ration.
