Udhampur Admin conducts series of events under Gram Swaraj month

Udhampur : In connection with the Gram Swaraj month, a series of events/activities were conducted here under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, InduKanwalChib and under the supervision of ADDC, Kanta Devi, ACD, Dharam Paul, ACP, RanjeetKotwal, and BDO HQ UdhampurShivana Akhtar in various Block / Panchayats of District Udhampur.
In Block Udhampur, several activities were held in PanchayatChakRakhwalan and Roun I to mark PanchayatSthapna Divas.
The Panchayats adopted the resolution on two themes of Iconic Week i.e. Child-Friendly Village and Poverty Free and enhanced livelihoods village.
In this regard, a road connecting the main road with Government Higher Secondary School, Chak was inaugurated, while a Mid-Day meal, under the theme Healthy Village was also served to the school children. Plantation Drives were also organized at different places. The members of the Panchayats took the decision to work on the adopted themes and to achieve the 100% saturation as per the laid down parameters.
Similarly, several events were also conducted in Block Tikri, Moungri and Parlidhar where Panchayats adopted different themes of Iconic week out of 09 sustainable development goals. Aadhar seeding camps, AapkiZameenAapkiNegrani awareness camps were held at adopted village Parlidhar.
Under Gram Swaraj, Block Tikri&Moungri adopted Child Friendly Village and Healthy Village themes of Iconic Week. Awareness programme, in collaboration with ICDS & Health Department was held to impart the knowledge among the PRIs and general public about the child health and women health under anemiamuktbharat campaign.
Meanwhile, Gram Sabhas were organized by District Administration in all Panchayats of the District for the adoption of 100 Points Resolution.
Apart from this, Plantation Drive, construction of soak pits under SBM, Establishment of Panchayat Secretariats, Cleanliness drives, Inauguration of various developmental works by PRI members marked the celebration in several other Panchayats.
