Jammu: Gram Sabhas held across 305 Panchayats, 161 Panchayat Secretariats established Focus on saturating all schemes

Jammu : Gram Sabhas were organised across all 305 Panchayats and 161 Panchayat Secretariats were established in Jammu district as part of the activities held under the aegis of Gram Sabha Month.
The activities are being held under the direct supervision of District development Commissioner AnshulGarg.
Apart from these, activities related to cleanliness and sanitation, plantation drive, inauguration of PMAY-G houses and sports activities were conducted in different HalqaPanchayats in presence of Sarpanches and Panches reflecting the seriousness and dedication of the public towards achieving the saturation of all the schemes.
The HalqaPanchayats have also been asked to achieve the indicators under the 100 point programme rolled out by the LG administration and saturate all the schemes that are implemented in the Panchayats.
Each Panchayat has resolved to establish the panchayat secretariat consisting of all the field functionaries such as Sarpanch, Secretary Panchayat, JE, Asha Worker, Anganwadi worker and BLO at one place so that public can get their grievances redressed in minimum time.
Till now, 161 panchayats have established their panchayat secretariats. The Panchayats also organised the Gram Sabhas to declare the SthapnaDiwas of the concerned Gram Panchayat. As of now, 246 Panchayats have declared the SthapnaDiwas marking the inauguration of the Panchayat.
With the intention to digitize the panchayats on the portal jkpanchayat.in, so far the information of 283 panchayats havebeen posted on the portal.
During the Gram Swaraj Month, as of now 2331 Houses under Awaas Plus scheme have been sanctioned with the aim to saturate the scheme in the coming days. It was informed that 4724 houses have been completed in the district under PMAY-G.
Swachhta Pledge was also taken in all the panchayats with an intention to keep the panchayat clean and free from all kinds of waste.
