Jammu: A National level Art Exhibition will be organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu at the Art Gallery (Central Hall) of Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA), Amritsar. The art works of twenty well known artists from many States/ Union Territories of the country are participating in the show. The exhibition will be inaugurated on 16th April, 2022 by the Chief Guest, S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Chairman, Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar whereas S. Shivdev Singh, President of IAFA, Amritsar will be the Guest of Honour and S. Jang S. Verman, a senior artist, writer & columnist on Art & Culture from Jammu, will be Special Guest on this occasion.
According to O P Sharma, Founder Director, JKCCA, the NGO was started during 1999. JKCCA has been organizing different art, literary and cultural activities at various levels on different occasions, and providing platform to the artists in all fields. He said that it’s a matter of pride that JKCCA has successfully organized so far twelve International Art Exhibitions (Online or Offline), and a large number of state and national level art exhibitions and art camps in different parts of the country, including, Jammu, Srinagar, New Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Goa, Rajouri, Sunder Bani Patni Top, Mansar etc.
The artists participating in the upcoming show, include V S Rahi, Dr. Rita Kashyap, New Delhi; Dr. Mamta Singh and Dr. Vasudha Joshi, Dehradun (Uttrakhand); Amanpreet Kaur, Mohali (Punjab)Dr. Sudhamani Sood, Phagwara, Prof. Varinder Saini and Gaytri, Hoshiarpur, K S Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Iqbal Singh, Atul Mattu, Sahil Sodhi, Kavi Chouhan, Mukesh Viz, Amritsar (Punjab); Pratima Singh, Lucknow, Virender Kumar Verma and Prof. Saroj Rani, Varanasi (UP); O P Sharma and Shivani Koul Bhat, Jammu (J&K).
