Gram Sabhas were held to saturate MGNREGA job card holders and 218 panchayats have completed the exercise.

Doda : Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal Monday kick-started the construction work of Barshalla to Bhalwana via Sisool CRF road in the Sub Division Thathri, here Monday.
DDC member Thathri Sandeep Singh Manhas was also present on the occasion. It was informed that the said road was sanctioned in 2019 at an estimated cost of 18 crores but was withheld for want of forest clearance. “But after persistence efforts of the council and District administration the clearance has been sought and the work has been started immediately” the DDC Chairman said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman visited Government Hr Sec School Thathri and interacted with the students and inquired about the quality of educationbeing imparted in the institution. He also listened to the issues of teaching staff and assured them that their genuine demands will the resolved in consultation with the education department.
Besides, the Chairman DDC also paid a surprise visit to the Food store of Thathri and examined the quality of ration being distributed to the beneficiaries. He asked them to ensure that all the beneficiaries get the due ration scale on a monthly basis as sanctioned by the Govt.
Among other accompanied the Chairman are SDM ThathriAthar Amin Zargar, Ex En PWD Doda Ayub Wani, besides other concerned officials and PRI members were also present during the tour.
