ARTO Baramulla penalizes Traffic Violators, seizes 2 Non-Commercial Vehicles

Baramulla: In order to ensure the overall smoothnessand genuineness in traffic management, ARTO Baramulla, Mubashir Jan along with his team Monday conducted raids in different areas of Baramulla including Sopore, Watlab, Delina and Singpora during which some commercial vehicles were charged fine for overloading.
On the occasion, the ARTO Baramulla also seized non-commercial vehicles which were involved in carrying school children illegally. The ARTO strictly cautioned the school authorities to make use of only yellow commercial vehicles instead of Vans and Sumos for carrying the school children.
Moreover, he informed that a circular with this regard has also been issued to Chief Education Officer Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO warned the violators of strict action besides appealing people to inform the ARTO office whenever they witness such incidents.
He further warned the vehicle operators to strictly adhere to the provisions of the Act failing which they shall be booked under the relevant provisions of the Law.
The Motor vehicles department Baramulla has already initiated a special drive against overloading at different spots and compounded the offence, the ARTO further added.
