FCS&CA Jammu Rural-1 celebrates Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Jammu : Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu Rural -1 on Saturday organised a series of programmes at PanchayatParwah Tehsil Marh, PanchayatGharPurkhoo and PanchayatGharDhokWaziran to celebrate 75thAazadi KaAmritMahotsav.
The primary theme of the events was to launch Phase VI of Pradhan MantriGaribKalyan Anna Yojana under which all AAY and PHH beneficiaries will continue receiving 5 kg free ration till September,2022 and to celebrate the success of the past phases of the scheme.
The beneficiaries who benefitted from the scheme also shared their experiences at the events.
They said the scheme really helped them during the lockdown period when their sources of earning were diminished and thanked the Government for the scheme.
The officials of the department highlighted the achievements of the department like 100% Aadhar Seeding of beneficiaries, installation of Point of Sales Devices at Fair Price Shops, ration distribution through biometric authentication, roll out of One Nation One Ration Card Scheme, etc.
Surinder Kumar, BDC Chairperson Marh; Rehmat Ali BDC Chairperson Nagrota; Kuldeep Raj, BDC Chairperson Bhalwal; Sarpanches, Panches, Tehsil Supply Officers, Fair Price Shop Dealers and beneficiaries were present at the occasion.
During the events, the public representatives lauded the efforts of the department and FPS Dealers for their service during the lockdown period. Approximately 200 persons attended the events.

Gram Swaraj Month -Day 9: Cleanliness drives, Gram Sabhas, PM JAY-SEHAT registrations, awareness camps held across Doda distt
Doda : The Day 9 of Gram Swaraj Month witnessed a wide range of activities across Doda district focusing on the realization of targets set under the 100 pint programme rolled out by Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
Gram Swaraj Month is being celebrated in the District under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Vikas Sharma and Assistant Commissioner Development, Phulail Singh Bandral. A series of Gram Sabhas were held in District Doda through Block Development Officers of different Blocks.
Block Development Officers of Changa, Dali Udyanpur, Doda (Ghat), Gundna and Khara held Gram Sabhas at different Panchayats of their respective Blocks and discussed a wide range of issues including the future development plans formulated for their respective blocks. Sarpanchs, Panches, Panchayat Secretaries and the local people also participated in the programme.
Swachhta Pledge ceremonies and cleanliness drives were also held in various Panchayats of Dali Udhyanpur and Gundana Blocks, besides, special camps were organised on PM JAY-SEHAT awareness and registration.
