Shopian : On the directions of Director Dr. Mohan Singh, a Medical awareness and free immune boosters distribution camp was organised by AYUSH dispensary Turkwangam and AHWC Wachi in Government Primary and Middle School Wachi.
During the camp, almost 210 children were examined and given immune boosting medicines.
The medical camp was attended by a large number of senior citizens, besides children and employees.
On the occasion, ISM authorities highlighted the benefits of strong immunity created by these immunity booster drugs. The beneficiaries of the concerned areas were asked to come forward and take free immunity boosters.
The District Nodal Officer Shopian Dr.Ishrat Ahmed Hakeem and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
Gram Swaraj Month: RDD organizes series of activities at Pulwama
Pulwama : The Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj continued its activities under a month-long Gram Swaraj campaign in all the panchayats of the district.
The Gram Sabhas were conducted under the supervision of District Administration Pulwama, in which functionaries of Panchayat Raj/Rural Development Departments, PRIs, frontline workers, local youth, besides, public participated and discussed various issues of Rural Development including cleanliness, sanitation, augmentation of water supply, good health facilities, better education and other developmental issues as per Government’s 100 point programme.
The Officers from Rural Development and other line departments attended the Panchayat Level Gram Sabhas.
ACD, Dr PeerzadaFarhat asked the officers and PRIs to ensure maximum public participation in these programmes and organize the activities as per the prescribed guidelines. He further asked the RDD teams to sensitize the people about Swach Gram and adoption of sustainable development goals for this year under a 100 point agenda.
He said these institutions would act as a bridge between the government and the people by rendering over different types of services at their doorstep.
He also said that the secretariat shall work as an office for all the village level government functionaries/frontline workers where the people can get their basic public services in a smooth and hassle free manner.
It is pertinent to mention that the month of April is being observed as Gram Swaraj Month with an aim to strengthen the Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) so as to realize the vision of Gram Swarajviz-a-viz democratic decentralization and saturation of 100 points programme targeted by the Govt of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
