Animal Husbandry Samba conducts farmers’ awareness camp

Samba : To create awareness among farmers and locals, the Department of Animal Husbandry organized a two-day awareness camp in PanchayatPalli of block Bari Brahmana.
During the awareness camp Dr. Rajesh Arora, Dr. Mohammad Ashrat and Dr.Mamta gave information on schemes Including feed and fodder development scheme, Kissan Credit Cards, Livestock insurance scheme, Foot and Mouth Disease control program etc. The resource persons also gave information about the cattle fertility measures.
The Department gave information on cattle, poultry, development schemes, besides Departmental services on disease, surveillance and biological production and advisories on pets, cattle was also disseminated.
In view of recent tribal migration, details on herd health management were also provided to the participants.
Around 25-30 locals participated whose cattled were also inspected for general checkups during the camp.
