MSK holds awareness program for tribal women

Poonch : Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), District Level Centre for Women in Poonch (MSK), in collaboration with Rural Self-Employment Training Institute on Thursday organized an awareness camp on women-centric schemes for tribal women here at far-flung areas of Mangnar-block Kaunia.
On the direction of District Social Welfare Officer, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women Mahila Shakti Kendra Poonch Organised awareness programme regarding Women centric schemes here at Village Magnar in Block Kaunia.
The objective of the camp was to provide basic information to potential women beneficiaries at their homes and to ensure their enrollment for the beneficiary-oriented, welfare, and self-employment programmes.
J&K Bank RSETI Faculty Members Sangram Singh and Rajat Sharma apprised participants about the self-employment schemes and called upon them to avail benefits entailed under these schemes.
The participants were made aware about benefits and eligibility criteria for Training Courses like Stitching and Tailoring course, Beautician course, One month basic Electrician Course and Dairy Farming Training Courses.
The JKBRSETI faculty laid emphasis on Pardhan MantriSurakshaBimaYojna (PMSBY) Scheme; PardhanMantri JeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY ); JKREGP & PMEGP Scheme and Atal Pension Yojana for Life Security.
Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) centres are playing a vital role in facilitating women to avail the schemes meant for their socio-economic empowerment and create enabling environment for the implementation of ‘BetiBachao, BetiPadhao’ (BBBP) scheme at the district level. The main purpose of holding this awareness camp was to aware tribal women about various schemes meant for them.
The participants applauded the organizers for the initiative and hoped that similar events would continue to benefit women living in remote and far-flung areas.
