DC Poonch visits DeraNangali Sahib, reviews arrangements for Baisakhi Festival

Poonch| : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, RohitBaskotra and other officers on Friday paid obeisance at ShiromaniDeraSantpuraNangali Sahib and convened a meeting with the Shrine management regarding the arrangements for Baisakhi festival.
The Management Committee raised various issues related to the arrangements for Baisakhi. They appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to make arrangements of drinking water, sanitation & early completion of Deri sahib link road. They also sought adequate security arrangements on the eve of BaisakhiMela held at the Shrine every yearwith traditional fervour and gaiety.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the PWD to start the renovation of the link road leading to Dera Sahib and also identify parking places for the vehicles.
The PDD and PHE departments were asked to provide adequate power and potable water supply, while EO municipality was asked to repair all damaged street lights and installmore light as per need. He wasfurther directed to maintain cleanliness in and around the places of worship and at the places of congregation. The officers of police were asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the festivals.
The Manager DeraNangali Sahib, Bupinder Singh thanked the Deputy Commissioner, SSP and other officers who came to the Nangali Sahib and reviewed the arrangements.
The meeting was attended by DyspHqr., Nawaz Ahmed; EO Municipality, MushtaqHussain; XEN PWD(R&B), Harvinder Singh; Xen PDD, IrshadHussain; Inspector ARTO, Zahoor Ahmed & other concerned officers. Besides Manager DeraNangali Sahib, Bupinder Singh; InchargeNangalib Sahib, Janak Singh; P.P, Rajinder Singh; President GMS Anmol Singh; Gen. Secy.DGPC, Surjan Singh; Gen. Secy. GMS, Balbir Singh; Kuldeep Singh and other members of DeraNangali Sahib were also present.
