World Health Day observed at Bandipora

B,pora : The World Health Day was observed Thursday at Bandipora with the aim to educate healthcare workers about better health care management.
The programme was organised by the Department of Health Bandipora in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Bandipora.
The theme for this year’s World Health Day is ‘Our Planet, Our Health’. The day is celebrated annually on April 7 in accordance with the World Health Organization’s aim to discuss health-related issues and to draw attention to specific health issues concerning people across the world.
Doctors, Paramedics, Aanganwadi workers and ASHA workers participated in the programme.
Several Doctors threw light on various health issues and the role of Health workers in creating awareness among the masses regarding various health issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad said that Covid-19 Pandemic has inculcated more understanding among people regarding various health issues and role of healthcare workers in tackling the same.
He lauded the efforts of Health workers during the pandemic. He said Bandipora is moving towards advancement after the pandemic. He said that all stakeholders of the district have to work together to provide the best health care facilities to the public. He said there is no comparison to the role played by doctors, paramedics, Ashas and other healthcare workers.
On the occasion Joint Director planning Imtiyaz Ahmad appreciated the role played by ICDS and Asha Workers.
CMO Bandipora, Dr. Bashir Ahmad sensitized the participants about various aspects of Health indicators.
Speaking on the occasion, BMO Bandipora Dr. Masrat Iqbal lauded the efforts of medical officers, ICDS workers, Asha Workers and other health workers
DTO Dr Rehana, threw light on various aspects of National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Dr. Tariq Medical Officer RBSK Block Bandipora highlighted various works carried out by Health workers in the field.
Similar programmes were also organised at subdivision Gurez.
