World Health Day observed across G’bal

G’bal : On the eve of World Health Day, CMO Ganderbal DrAfroza Shah Thursday e-inaugurated various health awareness events from District Hospital Ganderbal, here.
Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, Tabasum, MS DH Ganderbal Dr Nighat Yasmeen, WaseemMirzaMunsiff/Judicial Magistrate Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
While e-inaugurating the World Health Day CMO Ganderbal stressed the roles and responsibilities of Health Care Workers in raising awareness among the general masses for adopting a healthy lifestyle and clean environment. She instructed all the health care workers who were attending the event via on line that all the events as per the guidelines should be executed on the eve of World Health Day.
MS DH Ganderbal in her speech laid focus on outreach programmes and joint efforts with other stakeholders for implementation of health awareness schemes.
Dignitaries from judiciary also spoke about the significance of celebrating the World Health Day so as to generate effective awareness among masses
On this occasion, a number of activities were held across various health institutes which included plantation drives, quiz competition, sanitation drive, rallies, interaction sessions with patients and their attendants regarding various health hazards that play a vital role in the health status of the population and their roles as individuals to play a contributing factor.
Health Awareness Debates were conducted by the health authority of various blocks in collaboration with the Education department and sensitization programmes were held to aware the youth about their role in society for making efforts for a clean and hygienic society.
