SDM Chowki Choura listens to people’s issues

Jammu Sub Divisional Magistrate ChowkiChouraVirenderGupt and Tehsildar Dr. Raman Jandyal, Thursday conducted a Public Darbar at Niabat Office HarduMalwara, the farthest shore of Jammu District.
The PRI Members and local public of Villages HarduMalwara, Rah and Salyote participated and raised several issues.
The participants sought supply of potable drinking water and demanded a Dugwell at HarduMalwara and Rah villages to cater to the water shortage during the summer season. They urged for immediate installation of hand-pumps at Ward No.1 and 6 to meet the water crisis.
Blacktopping of several link-roads, presently in pitiable condition, was necessitated, which includes Sub Centre to Cremation Ground of HarduMalwara, SC Mohalla to Nallah at HarduMalwara, Upper HarduMalwara to Raja MandlikDevsthan,PukharniMohalla at Rah Village.
Completion of pending works of NABARD Road from Samadhi to Hella Road was termed to be of dire need to ensure smooth connectivity to the area. Responding to the demand, the Sub Divisional Magistrate sought a detailed report from the executing Agency -PWD Department.
Besides this, the public raised the issue of low-voltage and frequent power cuts, for which they urged for augmentation of existing transformers, vis-a-vis establishment of a Grid Station either at HarduMalwara or at Rah Village.
Amongst others, the locals further urged for the Opening of a Bank Branch and an ATM in their area as they have to travel to Sunderbani of District Rajouri for availing various banking services.
Meanwhile, the need for construction of a Check Dam at Rah Village and erection of an Irrigation Canal at village HarduMalwara was also projected.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate patiently listened to all their issues and grievances and assured themof timely redressal of the same.
Several revenue services were also provided on the spot, which includes EWS Certificates, Income Certificates, issuance of Mutation of Inheritance, copies of Jamabandies, copies of KhasraGirdawries and Land Passbooks.
