Gram Swaraj Month Celebration: RDD Ramban organizes wide range of activities in Panchayats

Ramban : Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj intensified its activities under the month-long Gram Swaraj celebrationin all panchayats of the district Ramban.
Assistant Commissioner Development, RambanZameer Ahmed Rishu informed that Gram Swaraj month celebration activities were conducted across severalpanchayats of the district in which PRIs and the public participated.
He also asked the officers and PRIs to monitor all activities being conducted under Gram Swaraj celebrations as per guidelines besides ensuring public participation in these programmes. He also asked them to sensitize the people about Swaach Gram and adoption of Sustainable Development Goalsindicators for this year.
He also said that various issues pertaining to development of rural areas were discussed besides conducting cleanliness and sanitation drives in prominent places of the panchayats.
The officers from Rural Development and other line departments attended the Panchayat Level Gram Sabhas.
