DC Rajouri reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

DM also directs Tehildars to expedite Anti-Encroachment drives

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal on Thursday reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall DC office complex.
The meeting had a detailed discussion on various issues including removal of encroachments on state/Kahcharai land, payment of land compensation, disposal of complaints received under the aegis of Governor grievances cell, preparation of Jamabandis, attestation of mutations, land acquisition for development projects, the status of the writing of Girdawaris, progress on Svamitva Scheme, AapkiZameenAapkiNigrani, and other census relate issues.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Revenue officers to expedite the process for timely completion of the vital tasks like the writing of jamabandi, attestation of mutations, writing of Girdawaris etc.
The department was also asked to intensify anti-encroachment drives across all the tehsils of the district to vacate state and kahcharai land. The Tehsildars were asked to furnish a weekly report about the removal of encroachments in their respective jurisdictions. He also exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure the involvement of the community and PRIs for safeguarding the retrieved land.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of implementation of SVAMITVA scheme in the district.
Later, a threadbare discussion was also held on the census 2021 and the Tehsildars were asked to ensure timely submission of information in connection with the census 2021.
While taking stock of the concordance statement, the meeting was informed that only 04 tehsils had submitted the required information. The DC directed the Tehsildars and EOs to submit the concordance statements at the earliest.
The issue of rural or urban status of khoera area was also discussed in detail and the DC directed the EO municipality to submit the record in this connection at the earliest.
It was also decided in the meeting that a separate Census cell would be established at the district level to look after the census related works.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Sachin Dev Singh, ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria, Tehsildars and Eos.
