Mega Block Diwas held at Kangan, G’bal

DDC assures time bound redressal of genuine issues

Ganderbal : The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Krittika Jyotsna Wednesday listened to issues of people during the Block Diwas proceedings held at Mammer, here.
A large number of people and PRIs from Kangan Sub-Division attended the Public outreach program and projected the demands and grievances of their respective areas.
The PRI members and locals demanded augmentation of water and power supply, dearth of staff in middle schools of Arhama, Manigam, MalishPayeen, PathanMohalla, upgradation of roads in hilly areas of Chattergul, early completion of Mammer Awanpati road, Girls Higher Secondary School in Mammer, early desilting of Irrigation Canals, and other development related issues of public importance.
After listening to the issues of the locals, the DDC redressed many grievances on the spot and in this regard passed a slew of directions to the concerned officers for early redressal of the same. She assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.
While interacting with the PRIs, the DDC complemented them for their active involvement in developmental progress in the district. The DDC also enquired about the augmentation of basic facilities like water, electricity, roads, etc. in their areas and thanked the PRIs for timely formulation of District Development Plan for 2022-2023 financial year.
Jyotsna urged PRI members to aware people about various flagship schemes available with different departments so that the benefit of such welfare schemes reach the deserving beneficiary.
On the occasion, the DDC appealed the people to register themselves under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (SEHAT Scheme) which one of the most ambitious schemes launched by the government aimed to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs. 5 lakh per family.
ADDC also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the purpose of holding a public outreach program in Kangan Sub-Division.
Among others present during the program were Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, DDC member Kangan, SDM Kangan, ACD, ACP BDC Chairperson Kangan, CEO SDA, Tehsildar Kangan and other officers.
