Mega Block Diwas held at 3 blocks of Kulgam, DC listens to public at Kulgam

Kulgam : As part of Government’s ambitious Jan Abhiyan program, the District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in 3 blocks of the district to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public issues and grievances, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to issues, grievances and demands of people for redressal.
PRI members and delegations of People from Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Kutamarg, Laisoo Kulgam, Gulzarabad and other adjoining areas who participated in this Block Diwas function apprised the DC about various issues and put forth their demands.
A delegation from Gujjar basti, sarbadri, raised the demand for deployment of field staff to streamline drinking water supply in the area. They also demanded augmentation of staff for Primary school Sarbadri, Gujarbasti.
Youth delegation from Demidulla raised the demand for development of the Playfield.
People from Humpathry, Yesbatpora and Adoora village demanded Macadamisation of road, restoration of irrigation canal and early commissioning of water supply scheme besides upgradation of Middle School to High school in the village respectively.
A delegation from ST community demanded a bridge at Sangam besides De-clubbing of schools in Tangmarg area which were clubbed earlier. And another delegation from various other areas also apprised the DC about their issues and developmental requirements of their area.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the issues/ grievances of immediate nature on the spot and issues required to be redressed at higher level, were also noted.
Dr Bilal appreciated the efforts of ACD and his team for timely and quality redressal of grievances.
At the outset of the program, ACD Kulgam, Mohammad Imran Khan also highlighted the action taken on the grievances and issues which were highlighted in previous Block Diwas function.
Meanwhile Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and SDM, Noorabad also remained present at Block Devsar and D.H.Pora, where they listened to issues and grievances of the public for redressal.
