DDC Rajouri listens to people’s issues at Darhal

Locals welcome proposed Budhkhanri to ShakerMarg Cable Car project

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Wednesday convened a public outreach camp here under weekly block divas program at Darhal tehsil and listened to the issues of the public.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response of people from adjoining areas. District Development Council Member, Iqbal Malik, BDC Darhal, Aslam Malik, Sarpanches, Panchs and the public from different walks of life attended the camp.
The locals, Panches and Sarpanches projected several issues during the camp seeking augmentation of power and water supply, better Medicare facilities, improvement of roads, school up-gradation, and improvement in the education system, restoration of damaged roads etc. The Public also demanded the opening or sanctioning of a trauma Hospital at Manjakote, early start of works and payments of liability.
The District Social welfare Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Officer from the Animal Husbandry department, CEO RDA, AD FC & CA made the public aware about the schemes being implemented by their respective Departments.
Moreover, the Public was also made aware of the projects completed and under construction in the Darhal areas.
The CEO RDA also informed the public about the number of projects being implemented to harness the tourism potential of the area.
District Development Council member, Iqbal Malik highlighted the achievements made after the implementation of the 73rd amendment Act. He also said that there was a need to create awareness among the public about the social security Schemes.
“It is our responsibility to enroll the beneficiaries under different social security schemes and pension schemes,” he added.
He urged the youth to avail the benefits of different self-employment schemes. He also requested early estimation so that the work could be started at the earliest.
He also raised the issues confronting the general public at large. He also projected the demand for development and allotment of plots at Industrial estate Ujjan. He also raised the issue of Munsiff court for Darhal.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He directed the concerned officers to work with zeal, devotion and dedication so as to provide facilities to people at their doorsteps.
He said that the government has launched various schemes and programs for people and they should come forward to avail the benefits. He also directed the Officers to organise special awareness camps about the social security schemes.
He also highlighted the achievement of the district in terms of District and UT Capex and said BDOs and other officers are working hard for the development of the area.
He also informed about the Awaas Plus scheme and geo tagging being done on the basis of priority fixed by PRI.
Public of the area expressed gratitude to the LG for the cable car project for Budhkhanri to ShakerMarg.
