DC Shopian holds Block Diwas at Panchayat Sectt, Keegam

Shopian : As part of the ongoing “Jan Abhiyan”, Block Diwas was Wednesday held at Panchayat Secretariat, Keegam here.
On the occasion, locals of the area projected a wide range of issues of public importance pertaining to different departments with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya.
Block Diwas was also attended by DDC member, Raja Waheed, District Information Officer, Sheep Husbandry Officer, Animal Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries, Tehsildar Keegam, BDO Shopian and officials of various other departments viz. Health, Animal husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Floriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, RDD, Fisheries, Child Development, Sericulture, Social Welfare department, Department of Industries and Commerce and large number of people from the adjoining areas.
Developmental issues especially pertaining to better road connectivity, construction of Play-field, eviction of encroachment, development of stadium and water reservoir, construction of Public Park were patiently listened to by the DC.
The DC assured for early redressal of their genuine demands and directed Tehsildar and BDO concerned for taking up the issues on priority especially construction of Public park, water reservoir and stadium in the area.
