ADC Basohli -Billawar listens to people’s grievances, assures early redressal

Kathua : To redress the grievances of common masses, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tilak Raj Thapa Wednesday convened a Public Outreach Camp here at Basohli.
Tehsildar Aman Anand, SDPO Basholi Shazia Mir, Block Development Officer Shailendra Pakhroo, CEO Basohli-Bani Development Authority Ajeet Singh besides Officers of various departments attended the meeting.
The people’s representatives raised the issue of monkey menace & sought permanent solution to the problem in response to which ADC Thapa assured that the matter will be taken up with DFO wildlife Kathua.
During the meeting ADC Basohli asked the AEE PHE regarding the status of drinking water supply in the rural area Plahi responding to which AEE replied that water is being supplied on alternate days. ADC further directed the PHE department to ensure drinking water supply in Vulnerable spots during the summer season.
ADC further passed instructions to BDO to highlight various activities being organized in the block .The instructions were passed to Tehsil Supply Officer to execute the bifurcation of ration cards.
BDO Basohli informed that 116 lights have been purchased at a cost of Rs 25 lakh and out of these three to four lights have been installed in each panchayat of the block. He further informed that Gram Sabhas are being organized in the various panchayats of the Basohli block.
Similar meeting was chaired by ADC Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma at PWD Rest House.
Chairman MC Billawar Oma Kant Basotra, BDC Billawar Panches, Sarpanches and a large number of people attended the meeting.
During the meeting a deputation from Palan panchayat met the ADC and apprised him about the problem of drinking water. ADC heard the deputation and directed the PHE department to ensure the drinking water supply in the area at the earliest.
Likewise SDM Bani also presided over the Block Diwas proceedings at SDM Office Bani.
