Gram Swaraj Month Celebration: RD, Panchyat Raj deptt organizes series of activities across Ramban

Ramban : Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj Tuesday organized a series of activities as a part of month-long Gram Swaraj campaign across all Panchayats of the district Ramban.
The Officers from Rural Development and other line departments attended the Panchayat Level Gram Sabhas, in which PRIs and the public participated and discussed the issues pertaining to development of rural areas and holding of cleanliness and sanitation drives.
ACD, Ramban Zameer Ahmed Rishu informed that issues relating to augmentation of water supply, better health, education and other facilities, developmental issues enshrined in the Government’s as100 points programwere discussed. The GPDP of all 143 Panchayats of the district Ramban have been completed, he added.
He also asked the officers and PRIs to organize the activities as per guidelines besides sensitizing the people about Swaach Gram and adoption of Sustainable Development Goalsindicators for this year Under 100 Point Agenda.
During the program a pledge has also been taken by PRIs and other locals regarding Swachh Gaon and achievement of SDG under Gram Sawraj Program. Furthermore an awareness program regarding PMAY Awass Plus held at block headquarter Batote under Gram Sawraj Month.
Similarly, at block Khari the Gram Sabha was held under the chairmanship of the BDC, Chairperson Sajad Hussain on 100 points agenda Gram Sawraj Month.
