Doda : Doda district, despite having tough terrain and hilly area has achieved a great milestone by bagging 1st rank in the Jammu region in expenditure and assets Creation under District Capex budget 2021-22.
The top rank in expenditure and assets creations has rekindled new hope among the people of the district and provided them a reason to celebrate, said an official.
The Civil Society members, PRIs, Council members, NGOs, traders’ unions, Contractors, and youth have highly applauded the efforts of District Development Council Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal and his team for the remarkable performance.
“We hail the decision of the public in choosing such a dynamic leader to lead the district to the highest rank in terms of development, maintaining peace, and Brotherhood among us” said the locals.
Officials attribute the success to the timely plan formulation, continuous review and removal of bottlenecks in the execution of works.
This feat has been achieved because of sincere, systematic, and planned efforts of the District Development Council and its Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, who mobilised the government machinery and took the PRIs on board, the people of the area believe.
According to the Councilors, the Chairperson made personal efforts day and night for winning this place to the district. All the District Development Councilors have also contributed beyond the expectations under the leadership of the Chairman.
The credit also goes to District Development Commissioner Vikas Sharma, who played an active role in the timely start of work and their completion. “He chased each project and ensured it was completed physically, financially with standard quality. He and his team of officers have worked tirelessly throughout the financial year with full dedication” claim the officials.
