Baramulla : In order to review the progress of ongoing developmental works in the District, the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Saturday chaired a meeting of the District/Sectoral Officers here at Dak Bungalow.The Deputy Commissioner also set parameters for formulation of annual District Capex Plan for year 222-23.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers of all line Departments to work with added zeal and dedication to further improvise the public delivery system by taking all the PRI members into confidence.
Directing officers for ensuring the feasibility in the works, the Deputy Commissioner said that the performance of all Departments is now measurable as per the parameters of Good Governance Index on certain sectors and selected indicators, besides quantity and quality of every work is being monitored to check the performance to ensure efficient and prompt public delivery system.
The DC further directed the concerned officers to ensure that necessary benefits under different social security schemes and welfare programs percolate down to the last beneficiary of the district. He also asked the concerned to achieve the physical and financial targets within the set timelines to provide necessary benefits to the general public.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also set parameters for formulation of annual District Capex Plan for year 222-23 during which he sought the cooperation of all functionaries of concerned departments in order to achieve the desired targets well in a time bound manner.
Ahead of National Panchayat conference which is being held in J&K on 24th April 222, the Deputy Commissioner said that about 100 different tasks are to be undertaken by different departments under different works and schemes to accomplish the task for which Gram Sabhas are to be held in every Panchayat in coming days.
The Deputy Commissioners directed for conducting of Gram Sabhas within 2 days in a staggered manner and complete same by 20th April 222.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, Joint Director Planning M. Yousuf Rather, Superintending Engineers of R&B, ACP besides other concerned officers of the district.
